How does Solar Thermal work?
Blackstone supplies and installs Solar Thermal systems that utilize evacuated tube solar collectors. The tubes are tempered glass and contain a food grade glycol. This glycol absorbs the sun's heat and transfers this heat into your domestic hot water system via a heat exchanger. Up to 50% of your domestic hot water can be supplied by Solar Thermal collectors. This water can be used to heat your house if you have radiant heating or used for household washing and cooking.
