RESIDENTIAL SOLUTIONS - SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC
How does Solar Photovoltaic work?
Sunlight consists of very small units of energy called photons. A solar Photo Voltaic panel is made up of many individual cells. The cells absorb these photons and the process causes electrons in the cell to be excited and freed. A flow of electrons is generated which move into a wire surrounding the cell. This is the generation of DC (Direct current electricity). In order to be able to use this electricity, it must be converted to AC (Alternating Current); this conversion is performed via an inverter.

Important Considerations for Solar PV
The reason that we recommend an assessment visit is that not all locations suitable for solar PV. A South facing aspect with little or no shading from trees or other buildings will ensure that you generate the most electricity from the Solar PV panels. The structural integrity of the roof is also important. A solar panel weights between 25 to 40 pounds on average and depending on your particular roof you may also require a mounting frame.
If you do not have a suitable roof for solar panel mounting we also offer pole or ground mounted panels.

Designing your custom solution - How does it work?
In order to evaluate your site's suitability for Solar PV we perform 3 easy steps:
1. Site visit to establish the suitability of your site for Solar PV.
2. Model simulation to find the system that is most suited to your situation. The output will show
you how much electricity you could generate on an annual basis
3. Quotation showing you the installed cost of the system and the payout time.
